International Women's Day

International Nutella day is cool, and so is International Pancake day. But International Women's Day is something different. Not because men sucks, because honestly they are some of the sweetest and most hardworking people. But so are women, and that is what the world has yet to learn.

For me, feminisme is strange.
Because why should we even need a name for that? Believing in women should not have a name. It should just be a thing we learned from birth. Learning to accept all mankind is what makes the world a better place.

For me, feminism makes me strong.
Women all around the world shall have equal rights. But to get equal rights for all, we must look at all the things, we only can do together. When we can empower each other, instead of being hateful and envious of one another, that is when we are doing it right.

For me, feminism comes naturally.
Being a female or a male does not matter. Believing in equal right for both sexes does.
If some people do not agree, let them. Be the strong one, who do not look down at people, but let them do what they think is right. Because those who laugh at last, laugh the longest.

For me, feminism is being the best you can be; yourself.
Be proud of who you are, and let other people know. Be proud of girls and women all around the world. If one day, someone says you run like a girl, smile, look them into the eyes and say, "If you run a little faster you could too".

Introducing Myself

Imagine that This Is Me from Camp Rock is playing in the background, while you are reading this. Because it has been 4 months, and I fell like I haven't introduced myself properly.  So if I am going to do it now, I might as well do it right.
I got some facts and honestly I laughed making them. I hope it will make you laugh or smile too, and that you after this feel like you know me a bit more.

  • I sleep with a Gangnam Style comforter because my coolness is on a whole new level.
  • I do not like tomatoes.
  • I am as Danish as Will Smith is black.
  • I don't like vanilla ice (yes, it is true).
  • I love to act.
  • I have a dog that is called Tauruz, which means bull in Latin (and no, I did not vote for the name).
  • I am a terrible winner. If I win, I will gloat about it at least for a day.
  • I am lucky enough a very positive person.
  • I love my family more than anything.
  • My name is Amalie (not Amelia!).
  • I still find it weird to say that Chinese people speak mandarin, and not chines (old habit I guess).
  • I do not think the teenage years are as bad as people says.
  • I am having a hard time deciding which boy from One Direction I should crush on (and the answer seems to change like the weather change in Denmark: very often).
  • I like people who do not try to fit in.
  • I believe that to be something, you have to be different.
  • I am OBSESSED with quotes (like, really really obsessed).
  • I think the greats think in this world is laughing.
  • I believe that being nice to each other is something we all should do more often.
  • I do not have an idol, but I have a lot of people I admire for their hard work and kind action (*cough, cough* Angelina Jolie).
  • In most situations I am outgoing (unless it is a sweet boy. In that case, S.O.S).
  • I am often scared of my own dreams (what if will never reach them??).
  • I want to have a life I can look back at and think. Damn gurl... You did it

Does one of these facts belong to you too, or do you have something you want to share? Please comment below, I could like to get to know you guys too.

Buying Clothes In The Man Section.

The clock is nearly 9 pm and you are in the shops getting some food for tomorrow morning. While you are passing the food on the checkout, you casually look to the side, and that is when you see it.

Spotted at the top shelves at half price is the most gorgeous blouse hanging. The red color is screaming you name, and before you know it, you have already decided to buy it.
But it is too late. The man behind the checkout ask for your money, and in you dreamy condition, you can not do anything but give the man his money, and walk out into the night - without the beautiful red blouse.

But do not worry, the story is not finish yet.

Because of course you come back the next day, with your mother behind, and the first thing you do, is grabbing the blouse and claiming it is yours.
And then afterward your mom ask you, why you are buying an over size blouse, that does not only look awful, but also is for men.  You will ignore her, because you like that shirt, and you also got it on half price.

But then you want her to understand that fashion is not in categories, and you open your moth to speak, but instead of telling her about fashion, you just look her straight in the eyes and say; YOLO, because you are that cool.

Monthly Favorits: Warm Blues And Cold Browns

January is the month of new beginnings, and for me old traditions.

So many people think January is the month we need to get over as quickly as possible - but I love January.
The snow is falling outside my window, I am seeing my friends after a long vacation, and it is also my birthday. What more can you wish for?

In January I have been obsessing over warm blue colors such as clothes and nail polish, but also cold browns such as the so ever needed warm chocolate and eye shadows. Oh, and maybe also a few books, some lip product and snow - lots of snow.

More specificly, I have been loving;
This concept is so different from other normal read-it-and-hate-or-love it books. I like that you actually get to do something you always were taught not to do. Sometimes it is only good for a little change. As the book also says; there is no wrong.

- Eyeliner in any shape and texture
I have been loving a liquid eyeliner on my eyelid just above my eyelashes, so it gives some more definition, but for my birthday I got a gel liner and this stuff really makes me nuts. I contain myself a bit, and make a thin winged liner to give the look a more elegant yet sassy look. Bot products are from L'OrĂ©al Paris and I recommend them a lot.

- A bold Lip
This is probably the fifth time you are reading this, and I will not make a whole romance about this. Of course I had to mention a dark lilac color, not only because it is winter, but because I just love these kind of shades. I used the Rimmel London Apocalips even though it is not pizza safe.

- Jewellery
I think it is safe to say that I sometimes forget to wear anything apart from clothes, and then suddenly I have caps, bows, watches and jewellery  all over me. That time is now. I love a lot of different rings mixed all together with a small bracket or sometimes a choker. I am more of a sliver girl at the moment, but who knows?

Next month I might be reading a normal hate-it-or-love-it book, while skipping the eyeliner and lip, and wearing gold metal all over my body? Only God knows that. I will be sure to update you when the time come.
And for now - what are you obsession over? I need something new for next month, so I do not end up like what I just wrote. It will coast me way to many money to buy jewellery in gold..

I Got 99 Problems And Baking Is One Of Them

Yes I know what you are thinking; why the living hell did you call your blog Jeans&Macaroons if you do not know how to bake?

Well, to make a long story short; I hated to bake the sweets, but I loved to eat the sweets - and still do.

Through the years I have wanted to make pancakes, chocolate cookies, and even bread because I got a recipe in my school.. I did try it with my friends at home, and it did not end well.
So one day I build up the courage to make a simple cake, and also take the following cleaning, which I might add, was the hardest one to overcome.
I then ended up with a lovely tasty cake and my self-confidence had never seen better days. The following day I made another one and fail hardly, but I think the point is clear; Think - try, fail - try again, fail - try again again, success.
So now I can bake, and it only made sense to make some macaroons.
My friend Karoline and I made these delicious chocolate macaroons, and I most say I am proud of the result. The fact that the macaroon batter was already ready to mix up does not really count, right?

As and old quote says; As long as the food taste good, the world is a happy place.
If you think I have turned into one of those crazy baking loving girls, you are completely wrong. As the tittle says; I Got 99 problems and baking is - still - one of them.
